Father why you are not a SC/ST/OBC

Dear father i am always proud of you. You are the reason for my existence, taught me how to walk, how to speak and you were with me at every moment i needed help but today i feel bad cause of you...... I wish if you were from SC/ST caste or at-least from Other Backward Class than life would have been much easier for me. But now i have to starve for things ; Its just because your general category tag is useless for me.

As you know am an average student but never got less than 85% in my school days.And had been a brilliant student throughout in every field be it sports or extracurricular activities too. Still I was not able to get my favorite college ; just because my friend XYZ XYZ  who belongs to reserved category  grabbed the last seat  with his shiny certificate of caste ; no one cared that his academics were too poor as compared to me and he also didn't think that being from a very rich family he can donate me the last seat and can purchase another seat for his comfort. I was shattered and just lost to someone who was never survived in front of me.
Every place is reserved for some lucky people and i am not Lucky, i feel. Even in the IIT 15 % and 7.5 % is reserved for SC & ST people ; 27 % for OBC and some other reservations too; so overall 50% seats are left for poor general people. No matter you are from a village ,forest , from a poor family who cant afford one time food also or anything else ; if you are general , no support will be given. 

I am not against reservation for those who really need it. But how many of the needy people get it. Reservation is most of the time misused by those people who live normal mife like us. They study in the same school, live in the same colony, travel in the same car , eat the same food and wear the same brand ; but carry a different surname and a certificate which ognores and abrogates the caliber of other poor fellow who being froma general category pays for it.

We certainly need to make change in our national policies and stop the practice of reservations based on caste and religion. Instead of this we can give reservations based on family background ; income ; and need so that it should not be injustice to other people.
But prior to this we need to be true to our soul .......................... cause its only us who pressure government for such regulations to satisfy our own greed.
May be for some people my views seem offensive but i feel it is the bitter truth.. Sorry if i hurt anyone's feelings.
